By setting up Instagram DMs, you'll be able to automatically DM fans when your drops go live and collect their phone numbers/emails.
Step 1: Connect Your Instagram
Navigate to your Laylo Settings → Integrations here and connect to your Meta account.
Make sure your IG account is set to type “business” and not “creator”.
💡 NOTE: Your Instagram account must be a Business Account to use this feature. Follow this guide to set up a Business Account.
Step 2: Add a Keyword
Create a drop and go to the Advanced Tab to add your Keyword.
💡 NOTE: You can use the default RSVP or create a custom keyword using words or emojis.
📲 SMS Keywords: Fans can also text the same keyword to your custom phone number and automatically sign up to your drop notifications. They’ll receive your confirmation message and contact card.
Step 3: Share Your Keyword
Troubleshooting
Having issues connecting your IG Account to Laylo? Here are some common issues and tips to fix:
Make Sure your Instagram is set to a Business Account
Laylo’s integration only works with IG Business Accounts.
1: In your IG settings, find Account and tap Switch to Professional Account.
2: Pick a category that best describes your business, then select Business.
Make sure your Instagram allows access to messages
In your IG settings, make sure that your Connected Tools are turned on and that you allow access to messages.
⚙️ Recommended IG Settings (On the IG app)
- Make sure Connected Tools are turned ON -> Profile > Settings > Privacy > (Scroll Down) Messages > (Scroll Down) Allow access to messages ON
- (Optional) Turn OFF Saved Replies and FAQs -> Profile > Settings > Creator > Saved Reply OFF, Profile > Settings > Creator > Frequently Asked Questions OFF, Profile > Settings > Creator > Response Suggestions OFF
⛔ If your Instagram account is not verified, you will have a limited window to get fans signed up and notified. In other words, you can only use this within a few days of the drop date. If you continue to message your fans, we will fallback to the signup the fan provided (sms / email).
