Connect your Shopify store to import and automatically sync product, customer, and order data into your Laylo CRM.
Overview
With Laylo’s Shopify integration you can automatically import emails and phone numbers from fans who have purchased merch, message fans that bought or didn’t buy specific items, and track exactly how much money your messages are making you!
⚠️ You must have SMS Opt-In enabled at your Shopify Checkout. Laylo will not pull data from buyers who do not opt into future marketing. Please follow this guide for enabling.
Connect & Disconnect
Connect
Your Shopify store can only be connected to one individual Laylo account. Here’s how to connect:
- Login to Laylo account
- Verify Pro subscription (head to settings > then billing to upgrade to Pro)
- Head to settings > then click Integrations and scroll down to the Shopify section. Follow the prompts to connect your shop. Shopify will redirect you back to the integrations page after a successful connection.
- Initial sync (data import) will be in progress. You will see an alert under the Shopify section that reads “syncing”. Once complete you can initiate a re-sync by clicking the “Sync” button.
- Product and Customer data asynchronously becomes accessible on Laylo as the import progresses (see the Fans and Messages pages)
Disconnect
- Go to Integrations page under the Shopify section.
- Click “disconnect shop”.
💡 All existing Shopify data remains in the Laylo database.
Send Messages
You can segment your fans and message them based on which products they’ve purchased.
This allows you to send targeted messages with specific offers based on buying behavior.
How to segment
- Go to Messages -> Composer tab
- Click “choose who to send this to”
- Under the Integrations section select Shopify
- Select the store product (or multiple) you’d like to segment Fans by
- This message will only be sent to the Fans (subscribed) that have purchased the selected store products
Store Analytics
In Laylo you will be able to track your lifetime sales and how much each fan has spent.
To view this
- Go to Fans tab
- Find Shopify sales total under “Lifetime sales”
- Scroll to fan list to find total spent by a Fan under the “Total spend” column
Track Shopify Revenue
NOTE: You need a custom phone number to do this. Learn how to claim one by clicking here.
Enable
- Go to either of these pages
- Create a Drop (drop day message)
- Drop Details -> Messaging tab (drop day message)
- Messages -> Composer tab (works for scheduled messages too)
- Enter message
- Click the "Track Shopify revenue" feature to enable it
REMINDER — Revenue will only be attributed for every Shopify order that occurs for 24 hours from when the message is sent (if the message was sent to the customer or a Laylo user related to them)
Drop Analytics
Track revenue attributed to your drop
- Go to Drop Details -> Analytics tab
- Find stats on top right, e.g. "$1,500 / Attributed to 20 sales in the first day"
Sent Message Analytics
Track revenue attributed to messages you’ve sent with a link to your store.
- Go to Messages -> Sent messages tab
- Find stats under “Revenue” column
