Build buzz around your single, album or EP release with Laylo. Use this blueprint to increase your streams while also building a list of super engaged fans to sell tickets and merch to.
Build Your Drops
Before kicking off your campaign, use this step-by-step guide to build out drop pages for new singles and albums.
🤫 Keep your drop in draft mode while you build it. Publish it once you’re ready to announce and share the drop with fans.
🎶 When creating this drop, your drop day message should include the link to stream the song or album. This will be the automatic reminder to let them know it’s out.
🎧 Pro Tip - Spotify Integration
Laylo offers Spotify presaves directly on drop pages.
After a fan adds their number or email to your drop, Laylo automatically redirects them to login to Spotify. After they login, they will automatically follow your Spotify artist or show page.
Once a fan logs into Spotify for the first time, they will never have to login again. Laylo links a fan's Spotify account to their phone number or email. After that, they can autosave your songs on Laylo simply by entering their phone number.
Any fan who presaves once is presaved forever until they opt out via Laylo.
💡 To enable a presave drop, head to the Advanced tab of your Drop Details and turn on “Autofollow” and “Presave.”
Step 1: Collect Sign Ups
Build Suspense
It helps to tease your fans with an upcoming special announcement.
You can either be direct about what’s about to drop or be vague.
We’ve seen that the FOMO works. Keep your fans on their toes and have them guessing.
⏰ Want more signups? Give your fans a reason not to miss out! They should feel early and like their first in line.
Drop Singles & EPs
Give yourself time to collect sign ups well before release day. If you’re dropping a single, you should share your Laylo link 1-2 weeks before the drop.
If you’re dropping an album or EP, you should use Laylo for every single.
Gradually building a list of sign ups before, during and after your project drops will only help you sell tickets and merch later.
⚠️ Attention spans are short. People might not sign up after seeing you post about Laylo once or twice so make sure to post about it a few times a week.
If you’re posting your link to a story make sure it’s the only post you make. Keep the attention on your Laylo so fans don’t miss a chance to RSVP.
Link In Bio
Whether you’re collecting sign ups from TikTok or Instagram, you should always add your drop link to your bio.
Laylo links work with all link in bio tools but here are some common ones.
Instagram DMs
The best way to collect sign ups quickly is to use Laylo’s Instagram integration to get fans to opt in the second they see your announcement.
📸 Thousands of fans replied to Kodak Black’s IG story with “album” and received a DM once his album dropped 👇
On Instagram, tell your fans to DM you the special keyword to automatically get notified before anyone else.
It’s smart to make the keyword on brand to you or related to your campaign.
Website Embed
If you have a website, you should use Laylo’s API to embed the Laylo drop and collect sign ups.
💡 With the embed, you can build custom call to actions and designs in and around the sign up widget.
Step 2: Album / EP Release
Now that you have a list of fans who’ve expressed interest in your singles, you can keep them updated before, during and after the release of your bigger project.
Follow this guide for scheduling messages. You can target the message to only go to your fans who signed up for singles or send it all to all of the fans on your list.
🤝 Logic used Laylo’s location targeting to send a message to people in and around LA about an exclusive album listening party!
Step 3: Tour, Merch, & Analytics
Merch
The fans who were hungry enough to RSVP for your new music are likely to spend money with you too.
Your fans on Laylo should be the first to hear about new merch and presale tour tickets.

Analytics & Tours

Laylo also gives you a breakdown of RSVPs by location which can help you determine future tour stops.
