Connect Shopify (optional!)
If you have a Shopify store then you should connect it to Laylo! You can integrate it with your Laylo and automatically add emails and phone numbers from fans who purchased merch.
💬 You’ll also be able to segment based on what products fans have bought in the past. This allows you to send targeted messages with specific offers based on buying behavior. Overtime, you will see how much a fan spends in your fan analytics.
✅ Follow the instructions below to connect your Shopify and read the our complete Shopify + Laylo Guide for more details.
How to connect Shopify
Your Shopify store can only be connected to one individual Laylo account. Here’s how to connect:
⚠️ You must have SMS Opt-In enabled at your Shopify Checkout. Laylo will not pull data from buyers who do not opt into future marketing. Please follow this guide for enabling.
- Login to Laylo account
- Verify Pro subscription (head to settings > then billing to upgrade to Pro)
- Head to settings > then click Integrations and scroll down to the Shopify section. Follow the prompts to connect your shop. Shopify will redirect you back to the integrations page after a successful connection.
- Initial sync (data import) will be in progress. You will see an alert under the Shopify section that reads “syncing”. ✅ Once complete you can initiate a re-sync by clicking the “Sync” button
- Product and Customer data asynchronously becomes accessible on Laylo as the import progresses (see the Fans and Messages pages)
Collect Signups
1. Create a drop
👉 Go to Laylo.com and quickly create a drop page for your upcoming Black Friday sale. Add a photo and customize the color to fit your vibe.
2. Import your contacts into Laylo
🗣 Make sure you’re reaching your biggest fans by uploading your fan lists into Laylo.
- Switch from a SMS platform like Community
- Import emails from a Mailchimp list (or other email marketing provider)
- pro-tip: you can also import design templates from Mailchimp
- Shopify customer lists
3. Share your drop (everywhere!)
🚨 Get fans signed up to be notified sooner rather than later. Black Friday can get noisy and you don’t want your event to go unnoticed.
📱 Post your Drop link to your Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Youtube etc and tell fans what they'll get by signing up!
🖥️ Easily embed your drop onto your website or online store.
Instagram DMs
💡 Pro-Tip: The best way to collect sign ups quickly is to use Laylo’s Instagram integration to strategically get fans to opt in the second they see your announcement.
On Instagram, tell your fans to DM you the special keyword to automatically get notified before anyone else. It’s smart to make the keyword on brand to you or related to your tour.
💡 Pro-Tip: Get personal and show how excited you are. Consider hopping on IG live and connecting with them personally leading up to or on the day of the drop.
